1. The entrance to the dermatology clinic - the characters are the "three treasures': jing (essence), qi (vital energy), and shen (spirit)
2. The pharmacy waiting area where patients pick up their herbs and Western medications - just like Rite Aid, huh?
3. Statue of Zhang Zhong Jing (author of the magnum opus Shang Han Lun), outside the entrance to the inpatient building
4. Lisa, Prajna and myself with our interpreters (and lifelines) May and Jenny
5. The hospital's main waiting area
6. The rooftop patio

Wow. But where are the O and Highlights Magazines? Take THAT stunningly beautiful, tranquil, superior Chinese hospital!
That looks a lot more interesting than my pilgrimage to the Rhodes Beer Garden. Miss you this weekend, Alexa (and I'm more than a little jealous )...
awesome!!! I love the pharmacy!!
Way to go Doc! You and your fellow mates look like you've survived the long trip in good condition...thanks for the pictures!HANG IN HERE ABOUT THE FIREWALL...emerse into the surroundings and you are enveloped in Love by everyone there...who needs words when a smile and kindness are the language of the heart...Van
Sounds very exciting! Are you enjoying your stay :)
I'm so proud! This is great being able to share the experiences of your trip almost as they happen. I had to look at the Chengdu weather on MSN after seeing these pictures. I wasn't expecting settings that looked like LA.
I think we're missing another unique blog opportunity. I talked to Mike a bit ago. He needs to start his own blog while you're away. His latest pictures could show him rearranging the CDs and bookshelves yet again. Others could be of him cleaning the already spotless apartment. Love you, Dad
WOW is right! How you could not feel better in a place like this. Are you sure you aren't at a spa?
Alexa:
Come home! All is forgiven!
We miss you here at YSU. When you come back, I have a small, but growing list of people I would you like you to 'fire needle.'
